Wedding Treatment and Skincare Plans
Wedding season is coming up and whether we’re working with the bride or groom, a member of the bridal party, or a guest, we’re on hand for advice and treatments to prep the skin.
Wedding treatment advice
A pre-wedding skin journey all depends on what your skin goals are. Are you looking for a boost of hydration and glow? Or do you have acne or pigmentation you would like help with?
For example, if you don't have problematic skin and are looking for a general upkeep of glow and hydration, relaxation and perhaps a few extractions, we would like to see you about a month before the wedding.
If you are interested in microneedling or laser treatments for collagen boosting, pigmentation, skin texture and/or lifting, we would ideally need to see you 3-6 months in advance. Again this is dependent on each skin type.
For acne, we’d also like to have 6 months to create a robust treatment plan, either with laser treatments, skin barrier boosting treatments and/or targeted skin resurfacers (also referred to as peels).
Our Welcome Essential facial is a great place to start. This facial includes skin analysis with high tech scans, a consultation, and is followed by the treatment. This will help us determine what your skin goals are, and create a bespoke package for you (budget, timeline).
For radiance, we love our Glow & Go facial, which uses skin resurfacers (often referred to as peels) to help correct skin tone and texture. This bespoke treatment can even target multiple conditions during the same appointment.
To target pigmentation irregularities, vascularity, and broken capillaries, our Real Life Retouching incorporates Advanced Fluorescent Technology (otherwise known as AFT - the next generation and advanced form of IPL).
If you are looking for something more advanced, a smoother skin texture and a boost of collagen, we recommend a course of Ultra Synergy, our treatment with microneedling.
Our favourite option with little to no downtime, but great results, is our Forever You laser treatment. This involves the ClearLift and ClearSkin to help with breakouts, stimulating collagen to improve fine lines, and brightening the skin.
Wedding skincare
We recommend having a consistent routine in the few weeks before the wedding. We’ve seen brides change all routines and use new high-strength retinoids and exfoliators. It’s a risk as it’s difficult to know how the skin will react. Our advice is to keep it simple and the skin hydrated.
The night before the big day, we love the Esse Cream Mask or Synergie MasquErase which are great for boosting hydration and bounce in the skin. On the day, keep a hydrating mist like Odacité Hydra-Purifying Mist to hand to spritz throughout the day and refresh makeup. That night, Wildsmith Active Repair Nourishing Cleansing Balm will take off all make-up and leave the skin feeling nourished. It’s easy, and perfect if you have had “one too many” and can’t manage anything else!
