UNDERSTANDING YOUR SKIN
Spring Clean Your Beauty Cabinet
Spring is the perfect time of year to reassess your skincare routine, detox your beauty bag and edit back your skincare to a collection of super-effective beauty essentials that work hard to earn their place in your kit.
So where to begin? Let’s lay it all out
Put all your products flat on a table so you can really see everything that’s hiding in your cupboards.
Split your products into 3 camps
These are your go-to daily and weekly products. As you lay them out, check for any duplicates and nearly empties so you know what you need to add to your skincare shopping list.
Not sure what should be in your regular routine? Use our templates below:
These might include those face masks you keep for special occasions or your emergency spot treatments. Store them in a separate bag or shelf. You can also pop away any richer winter creams and oils on this shelf as your spring routine will be slightly lighter - a dark, cool cupboard is best to prolong their shelf life.

Haven't used for 6 months or more
You know what to do here… First things first, check the expiration date and for any textural / smell changes and say goodbye to them if they are past their use-by date (look for your nearest TerraCycle collection point so they don’t reach landfill).
If they have life in them yet, redistribute the skin health wealth and donate any unloved products to friends and family! Any unopened products can be rehomed to fantastic initiatives such as BeautyBanks which donates beauty products to those in need.
Now you’ve organised your products, give any beauty tools the same attention. Deep clean any cleansing brushes, reusable face pads, cloths and makeup brushes too (try to make this a weekly habit to really reduce the spread of bacteria onto the skin) and reorganise your beauty cabinet to make you morning and evening routine a breeze.
Finished spring cleaning? Treat your skin to our Essential facial to deeply nourish and reset it for the season ahead...
